Ann Demeulemeester's 'Dé' series for Serax is a collection of shadow paintings on fine porcelain. The 'dégradé' feature – meticulously painted by hand in several layers – produces a dynamic interplay of lines. The effect is hypnotic, organic, mysterious. Edges are painted to different depths, creating variation in 'apeture' between pieces.
