Baleària Caribbean, a subsidiary of the Spanish shipping company Baleària, connects the United States and the Bahamas since its first voyage in 2011, when started the route between Fort Lauderdale (Florida) and Freeport (Grand Bahamas). Later, since 2019, it also links the American port with the island of Bimini. Last year, Baleària Caribbean increased all its numbers by carrying out 125,000 passengers a 17% more than the previous year. With this, the company has reached the consolidation point of its business model with around 1,500,000 passengers and 100,000 goods containers transported after twelve years operating.
